The type of cactus species
manipulated for my transgenic cactus project
is the Bolivian Rebutia Donaldiana. (due
to its hybridization potential) This is
a very exquisite species, which forms large
mounds of heads and masses of orange flowers
that are relatively large in relation to
their bodies. These small globular cacti
spines are soft to touch.
